ABOUT
Nicole Ocran is an Ghanaian-Filipina author, journalist, podcaster and award-winning fashion influencer who has been sharing her personal style and life online for over a decade. She was born in Washington D.C., grew up in Northern Virginia.
Her first book, The Half of It: Exploring the Mixed-Race Experience was published in July 2024 with William Collins.
She is the co-host of Mixed Up, the award-winning podcast about race and identity through the lens of the mixed-race perspective. She and Emma Slade Edmondson have interviewed the likes of Mel B, Afua Hirsch, Emma Dabiri, Jassa Ahluwalia, Jordan Stephens, Tessa Thompson, Asia Jackson, Mikaela Loach, and Travis Alabanza over the past five seasons.
She has written for Refinery29, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Hello!, and Metro.
She is also the co-founder of The Creator Union, a union campaigning for fair pay for digital creatives and influencers.
She currently lives in London.

Nicole started her career as a fashion influencer and content creator in 2017 with her fashion blog. Over the years Nicole has worked with many household name brands, including Disney, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Elizabeth Arden, L’Occitane, and GAP, creating content for her channels and theirs.
